Email Service Provider and Deliverability

ZMail by ZDirect is an Email Service Provider with direct Internet backbone connectivity optimized for bandwidth speed and deliverability. ZMail’s platform, architecture, and Class C licensing delivers clean IP Space for our clients’ campaigns and the URL protection they deserve. In addition, ZMail hosts multiple mail servers, in redundant secure data centers, all optimized for speed and deliverability.

Efficiency of Delivery

It is critical that the emails you send arrive in the inbox of the “opt-in” recipient. Industry email deliverability rates are between 70 - 75%, whereas ZMail consistently performs in the 95 - 98% range. Why? ZMail possesses inherent benefits which ensure that our clients’ email gets delivered successfully, and we have taken serious steps to protect this deliverability.

ZMail is SPF (Sender Policy Framework) and DomainKeys compliant, which guarantees sender authentication and the accreditation of emails with ISPs (see Authentication and Accreditation Strategy). ZMail utilizes a collection of network diagnostic software and tracking tools for immediate reporting and deliverability analysis.


Benchmarking Analysis and Early Detection System

The ZMail platform maintains several delivery monitoring systems. All email loads are analyzed and anomalies with each major ISP are detected immediately, client by client.


ISP Relations Team

ZMail possesses a full time ISP Relations Team who are premier insiders within the “industry” with influence. The FTC regularly calls on them to testify on spam-related issues. This combination of experience affords ZDirect a unique knowledge of the “state of the art” in bulk email, technically and socially, from the perspectives of both sender and recipient, with direct access to all major ISPs optimizing deliverability for clientele.


Deliverability Assurance Team

ZMail deploys a diversified Deliverability Assurance Team who focuses solely on ISP relations for its clients, and dedicates themselves on a daily basis to ensuring that messages sent through the ZMail system attain a near 100% delivery rate. This assurance team is responsible for enforcing ZMail’s anti-spam policies and monitoring usage of the ZMail system by clientele. ZMail leads the email industry in the measurement of prospective spam complaints, campaign reporting and campaign performance statistics. ZMail‘s efforts at ensuring delivery include the following:

Delivery Tracking with ISPs: ZMail can analyze your SMTP delivery logs, and provide hard data and trending reports about delivery rates and issues across a client’s entire recipient base.

Header and Routing Forensics: Our Team examines email and log files for harassing or illegal email to determine the originating IP. The finished report will include contact information for the ISP in question.


Authentication and Accreditation Strategy

Email is changing, and email senders alike are clamoring for an authenticated email provider system that relies on a certification standard. Legitimate email, such as those sent via ZMail, will remain on top with high deliverability rates and spammers will find it more difficult to operate in such a system and be driven deeper underground. Policies and Enforcement

ZMail enforces a detailed and stringent Acceptable Usage and Anti-Spam Policy with which every ZMail client must comply with in order to use the ZMail service. Compliance begins with a review of every potential client's mailing practices, and approval by our Delivery Assurance ISP Relations Team. Thereafter, the Team ensures continued compliance by regularly auditing each client's usage of the ZMail services. The ZMail Executive Team holds monthly meetings to review these audit reports, as well as current issues and trends affecting email marketing and delivery.
